The Core Labs provides laboratory space, animal models, equipment, and technical expertise to Department of Surgery investigators, collaborators, and trainees. Translate
A key feature of the Core Labs research strategy is the development and automation of routine collection and storage of patient samples and patient outcomes information. Molecular and cellular characterization of these samples allows for hypothesis generation and hypothesis testing in simplified systems (e.g. animal models) while maintaining clinical relevance. This approach capitalizes on the research strengths of the clinician scientist.
