The Lenherr Research Lab focues on medical decision and patterns of care around neurogenic bladder management. Neurogenic bladders frequently occur after spinal cord injury or with other neurological disorders such as multiple sclerosis and spina bifida. Medical advice and historical dogma generally helps clinicians guide patients to what we consider the “best” treatment for their bladder dysfunction, but these choices are often not aligned with patient preferences and are not based on contemporary medical data.

The Lenherr Research Lab tries to identify how we should guide patients about the risk of complications from bladder management and combine this information with patient reported outcomes and preferences.
