University of Utah Health Division of Vascular Surgery earns three stars in Vascular Quality Initiative Registry Participation Award Program


Collaborator Receives Top MNUMS Honor

September, 2017: Dr. Ganbold Lundeg, MD PHD received the award of tenure and prestigious recognition at the annual faculty convocation of MNUMS Health Sciences departments, on account of his role as commissioner on the Lancet Commission on Global Surgery.

"No other Mongolian has served as a commissioner at the Lancet until now."

 Dr. Ganbold, an anesthesiologist, is a long time partner of the University of Utah and a leader of campaigns for surgical and emergency services access that are now sweeping the country of Mongolia. He was part of the first efforts to create access to laparoscopic technologies in Ulaanbaatar in 1993 and now leads national surgical planning efforts for his country in 2018.
