University of Utah Health Division of Vascular Surgery earns three stars in Vascular Quality Initiative Registry Participation Award Program

Algorithms for Innovation report released by U of U Health Sciences encouraging conversation about ways our current health care system can transform to meet changing needs in the industry.

Catherine DeVries, MD, was honored with the American College of Surgeons award for volunteerism. This was for her extensive work in founding and running IVUmed. This is the largest pediatric and adult urology volunteer organization in the country and sends multiple trips internationally with a goal of training local surgeons to provide advanced urologic care. She has previously received the American Urologic Association medal for distinguished contribution for this work.

Jeremy Myers, MD, spent two weeks in Mongolia teaching reconstructive surgery to Mongolian urologists in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, at the First People’s Hospital.

Christopher Dechet, MD, left recently for a nine-month sabbatical in Italy developing an oncology program.
