John P. Smith, DO, was born and raised in Utah County and has recently joined the Division of Urology at University of Utah.
Dr. Smith is board-certified in Family Medicine and completed a Fellowship in Genitourinary Medicine. Dr. Smith brings a unique perspective to the urology department with a goal to provide high quality, evidence based urologic care in a comfortable and compassionate environment.
Dr. Smith completed his undergraduate work at Utah Valley University, majoring in basic sciences. He then attended Medical School at the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth, Texas. Dr. Smith completed an Internship at Bluefield Regional Medical Center in Bluefield, West Virginia. He then graduated from Family Practice Residency at Long Island Community Medical Center in Patchogue, New York. He completed a Genitourinary Medicine Fellowship at the Smith Institute for Urology in Lake Success, New York. After Fellowship, Dr. Smith made the move back west to join the Division of Urology at University of Utah.
